There is one soul in earth
Who created us before we wished, who cared us before we asked,
Who feeded us before we cried, who secured us before we knew fear!
Trusted us in all our decisions of life without any expectation
Except with the heartfelt love and sacrifice!
– MOTHER!
Breastfeeding during the first six months of an infant’s life is often likened to life-giving rain for the earth, acting as a natural remedy that supports the health and development of the baby. This nourishment is rich in vital nutrients and antibodies, which serve to shield infants from a range of illnesses and infections. However, for various reasons, numerous infants in India are unable to enjoy the advantages of exclusive breastfeeding. Both the Indian government and various organizations have undertaken initiatives to tackle this concern. These efforts involve promoting awareness about breastfeeding through campaigns, establishing programs to support lactation, and implementing policies that encourage and assist new mothers in their breastfeeding journey.
But most of the programs are concentrated to spread the importance of breast milk feed to their own babies!
But What about babies who lost their mother or who looses the opportunity of receiving a natural breast milk from their own mother!
In your surroundings, there exist numerous babies who cannot receive the natural remedy of breast milk from their own mothers. Donating breast milk serves as a source of hope for these vulnerable infants, closing the divide between life and hopelessness. For newborns without a mother or lacking access to their mother’s milk, this act of kindness provides essential nourishment and builds a protective barrier, supporting their delicate existence.
Apart from providing physical nourishment, the receipt of donated breast milk can offer emotional solace and encouragement to infants, cultivating feelings of safety and happiness during their initial life stages.
Pephands SUPERMOM! Recognizing the significance of breast milk donation for undernourished infants, Pephands embarked on an impactful journey to rescue the health of these vulnerable babies. They initiated a compelling breast milk donation campaign known as SUPER MOM, where the Pephands team personally approached donor mothers, collected their valuable contribution, and safely transported it to the Mother’s Milk bank.
The occasion triumphed in gathering 6000ml of breast milk from local mothers, which was subsequently employed to nourish 60 infants at the Government Baby Hospital, ultimately saving the lives of these 60 little ones.
In each individual contribution of donated breast milk, there lies a commitment to sustaining and nurturing the most delicate souls. These remarkable mothers have, once more, exemplified that the essence of motherhood extends beyond their own children, encompassing the well-being of countless infants across the globe.
